Krames On FHIR® is a robust interoperability solution suite that allows health systems, physicians and hospitals to avoid time-consuming quarterly downloads. It integrates into the EHR to deliver world class, award-winning patient education materials at the point of care. Using SMART on FHIR® technologies, Krames On FHIR integrates directly into the clinician’s workflow, enabling him or her to provide suggested education based on the patient’s profile and current clinical encounter.
- An emergency room physician provides a newly diagnosed diabetes patient with educational materials and videos the patient and his/her family can access once the patient is back at home.
- A nurse practitioner sees a patient in an urgent care setting suffering for the first time from low back pain. He provides the patient with a short-term medication for pain relief and recommends a number of educational articles on possible causes, self-care, exercises, and much more that the patient can easily access.
- A physical therapist provides follow-up treatment sessions for a patient who has recently undergone routine knee surgery. She can check the patient’s record through the EHR, knows exactly what educational tools and videos the patient has accessed and recommend others as needed.
Krames On FHIR Release No. 188.8.131.52
Requires: Cerner Release No. 19 and Version 6.4 and above for mPages
Your clinicians can easily launch the app from Cerner Millenniums’ left navigation bar. They can conduct searches by category to find materials that are suited for certain diagnoses, medications and/or procedures. Your clinicians can conduct a text search or an advanced search and they can even preview available articles and tools. They have an option to toggle between a list or card (thumbnail) view. They can then place in the cart, add to favorites (by clinician) or folders (enterprise-wide).
There’s no toggling between applications when filling the patient’s education cart. Your clinicians can simply access the Krames On FHIR app from the Millennium EHR, and the app will provide recommended tools based on the patient’s history and current condition. Clinicians can print or send the content to the patient portal. Multiple languages, font sizes, duplicate documents and video transcripts are available. The print and portal fulfillment is written back into the patient’s EHR.
Favorites and Folders
Your clinicians can create their own user-specific folders to include the patient education articles and tools that they find most helpful for their patients. They can manage their favorites from the list and card view searches by choosing the heart icon next to the specific content. You can also create, manage and organize folders containing default content for enterprise-wide use.
Your clinicians can preview suggested videos from hundreds of options and save them to favorites or send to patients as stand-alone educational content or as additional, easy to understand demos to complement their current patient education content.
